During the school year, the ARC’s hours of operation benefit anyone from the early risers to the night owls!

Did you know that when you are a full time student at Queen’s University you automatically get a gym membership at no extra cost. Not only does this give you access to the gym but it also gives you access to the pool. Here is a link for open swim times.

Tired of carrying your gym clothes to and from school? Rent a locker at the Queen’s Athletics and Recreation Centre to help ease the load. You can get a locker in the main or pool change room. An annual contract is only 12.23 a month and if you are not sure that you want to commit for an entire year trying pay as you go for 17.43 a month.

Did you know that the Queen’s athletics and recreation centre has times set aside in the Marion Ross Room just for women to exercise? The Marion Ross Room can be found on Level 3 of the Athletics and Recreation Centre. Here is a look at the hours:

Monday/Wednesday: 7:00am-9:00am
Monday-Friday: 11:30am-1:30pm
Monday-Friday: 5:00pm-7:00pm

Not only is there slotted times for women’s only strength and conditioning but there is also just for women swimming times and drop in basketball.

Drop in basketball:
Monday: Upper Gym #2, 4:00pm-5:15pm
Wednesday: Upper Gym #2 4:00pm-5:15pm
Thursday: Main Gym4:00pm5:15pm

Swimming:
Friday: 8:30am-9:30am

Want to work out but don’t know where to start? Need motivation? The ARC offers students a one on one personal training and other motivation sessions at a good price. There are many sessions and packages available listed below.

1 hour sessions: Member: $50 Non-Member: $60

Fitness Assessments: measurements of weight, height, and body composition and make specific goals

Consultation: discuss fitness history and determine individualized goals

Partner Consult: Member: $20* Non-Member: $25*
